Quick answer

TidyCal is the best scheduling app for yoga and meditation teachers who charge for their time. Clients pay when they book, with packages and subscriptions on the Free plan, and Individual Lifetime is $29 once. Pick Acuity Scheduling if you sell gift certificates or run a waitlist, and Calendly if you run inbound sales on Salesforce or HubSpot.

A normal week

Tuesday and Thursday, 7am
Online meditation. 12 seats. At seat 12, the class closes on its own.
6am the same day
The 1-hour reminder goes out with the Zoom link. The 24-hour one went out yesterday.
Wednesday, Saturday
Privates. 30-minute buffer so you can drive to the next house.
Anytime
A regular buys the 5-class pack instead of paying $22 five separate times.

Charge for online classes, even $10. Free drop-in classes get a lot of sign-ups and a lot of empty squares on Zoom. People show up for things they paid for.

Our take, from the TidyCal team

What makes this work

Group bookings

Set 12 seats and show students how many are left. Group bookings are on the Lifetime and Pro plans.

Lifetime and Pro plans

Packages

Class packs: the student picks their dates and pays once.

Free plan

Subscriptions

Want a monthly membership? Stripe bills monthly and the student gets, say, 8 classes to book.

Free plan

Automatic Zoom, Google Meet and Teams links

Each booking gets its own Zoom or Google Meet link. Or paste your usual class link as the location.

Lifetime and Pro plans

Ask about injuries. Always.

Only on privates. For a 12-person meditation, nobody needs a form.

  1. Any injuries or areas to avoid? On: Private yoga session
  2. Experience (New to yoga / Some classes / Regular practice) On: Private yoga session

This is for planning the session, not a medical history. Keep it to what you need to teach safely.

How a teacher actually uses it

Ana posts the link in her Instagram bio and at the bottom of her newsletter. Students book the Tuesday meditation the night before, pay $10, and get the Zoom link in the confirmation.

When a private client asks about weekly sessions, she sends the 5-class pack instead. They pick five dates and pay $110 once.

She checks one thing each morning: the Google Calendar TidyCal fills in. No spreadsheet of who paid, no cash in an envelope.

Settings

SettingWhat to setWhy

What TidyCal costs

Free, $0

Most of the setup above. Group classes, approvals, cancellation fees, booking limits and automatic video links need a paid plan. Not a trial.

Individual Lifetime, $29 once

Pay one time through AppSumo. Adds group bookings, custom reminders, automatic Zoom and Google Meet links, and 10 calendars.

Pro, $12/mo or $99/yr

All of it, with no TidyCal branding, unlimited calendars and team scheduling with no seat fees.

Stripe and PayPal charge their usual processing fees on paid bookings. On the Free plan, Stripe bookings also carry a 1% TidyCal platform fee. See payment fee details. Compare every plan.

How we checked

Every competitor price comes from that company's own pricing page, read on September 30, 2026, at the billing period shown next to it. Tools with no published price we could verify carry no dollar figure. The ranking is for yoga and meditation teachers who take bookings and charge for some of them. Nobody paid to be on this list. TidyCal's prices come straight from the plans we sell, so they match what you will pay, and the 1% platform fee on Stripe bookings is the live rate.

Questions yoga and meditation teachers ask us

Can I run group classes?

Yes, on the Lifetime and Pro plans. Group bookings let you set the number of seats per class, and you can show students how many seats are left.

Can I sell class packs or a monthly membership?

Yes, on every plan. A package sells a set number of classes up front. A subscription charges each month through Stripe and gives the student a set number of bookings per period.

Do students get reminders?

Yes. Email reminders go out 24 hours and 1 hour before on every plan. Text reminders for US and Canadian numbers are on Agency Lifetime and Pro.

Can I teach online?

Yes. Add your video link as the location, or connect Zoom, Google Meet or Teams on the Lifetime and Pro plans to create a link for every booking.

Can I teach in person and online from the same page?

Yes. Each class type has its own location: a studio address for privates, a Zoom link for online classes.

Do students need an account?

No. They click your link, pick a class, pay and enter their name and email. Nothing to download.
