TidyCal for health and nutrition coaches

Sell the 12-week program, not the one-off call

Quick answer

TidyCal is the best scheduling app for health and nutrition coaches who charge for their time. Clients pay when they book, with packages and subscriptions on the Free plan, and Individual Lifetime is $29 once. Pick Acuity Scheduling if you need a signed HIPAA BAA, gift certificates or a waitlist, and Calendly if you run inbound sales on Salesforce or HubSpot. TidyCal does not sign a HIPAA BAA. If you need one for scheduling, Acuity Premium does.

Three booking types and a program

Here is how a nutrition coach might set it up. Nina is made up; the structure is the one most programs use.

Booking type Length Price Type What it is for
Free intro call 15 min Free Free Fit check. Ends with a link to the first consult.
First consult 60 min $120 Paid Goals, current routine, a plan for the first two weeks.
12-week program (6 check-ins) 30 min $65 per session Package 6 × $65 = $390. A check-in every two weeks.

Choosing a time for a paid 60-minute nutrition consult on TidyCal
The paid first consult.

Nobody changes how they eat in one call. If your main offer is a single consult, you are selling a plan people will follow for eight days. Sell the 12 weeks.

Our take, from the TidyCal team

How a coach actually uses it

The intro call is 15 minutes and free. It is only there to answer "can you help me?" The form asks what they want to change and what gets in the way, so you are not starting cold.

The first consult is $120 and paid at booking. That is where the real work starts.

At the end of the consult you send the program link. The client picks six check-in dates, roughly every two weeks, and pays $390 once. Every check-in is already on both calendars. There is no "let's find a time for our next one" at the end of every call.

The meal-plan PDF sits in your digital storefront on the same page for people who are not ready for coaching yet. Stripe checkout, instant download.

A plain note on health information

TidyCal is a scheduling tool, not a health record system, and TidyCal does not sign HIPAA business associate agreements (BAAs). Keep booking questions to goals and scheduling basics, and store health history in a system built for it. Not sure what rules apply to you? Ask your compliance advisor.

Intro call questions

Two questions: one open, one checkbox so it takes ten seconds.

  1. What would you like to change about how you eat? On: Free intro call
  2. What gets in the way most? (Time / Cooking skills / Family schedule / Cravings / Not sure) On: Free intro call

Notice what is not there: weight, medications, conditions. That is a conversation, not a form field.

What TidyCal costs

Free, $0

Most of the setup above. Group classes, approvals, cancellation fees, booking limits and automatic video links need a paid plan. Not a trial.

Individual Lifetime, $29 once

Pay one time through AppSumo. Adds group bookings, custom reminders, automatic Zoom and Google Meet links, and 10 calendars.

Pro, $12/mo or $99/yr

All of it, with no TidyCal branding, unlimited calendars and team scheduling with no seat fees.

Stripe and PayPal charge their usual processing fees on paid bookings. On the Free plan, Stripe bookings also carry a 1% TidyCal platform fee. See payment fee details. Compare every plan.

How we checked

Every competitor price comes from that company's own pricing page, read on September 30, 2026, at the billing period shown next to it. Tools with no published price we could verify carry no dollar figure. The ranking is for health and nutrition coaches who take bookings and charge for some of them. Nobody paid to be on this list. TidyCal's prices come straight from the plans we sell, so they match what you will pay, and the 1% platform fee on Stripe bookings is the live rate.

Questions health and nutrition coaches ask us

Can I sell a 12-week program?

Yes. Sell it as a package (the client picks all the check-in dates and pays once) or as a monthly subscription with a set number of sessions each month. Both are on every plan.

Can I sell digital products like meal plans?

Yes. The digital storefront sells PDFs, courses and templates with Stripe checkout, and you can attach a product as an add-on to a paid session. It is on every plan.

Is TidyCal HIPAA compliant?

TidyCal does not offer a HIPAA business associate agreement (BAA). If you need one for your scheduling tool, TidyCal is not the right fit. Check with your compliance advisor about what applies to you.

What does TidyCal cost?

The Free plan is $0. Individual Lifetime is $29 one time. Pro is $12 a month or $99 a year and removes TidyCal branding.

Can clients book check-ins in their own time zone?

Yes. The booking page shows your hours in the visitor's time zone, which helps if you coach online across the country.

Do clients need an account?

No. They click your link, pick a time and enter their name and email.

Can I offer the first consult online?

Yes. Put a video link in the location, or connect Zoom or Google Meet on the Lifetime and Pro plans so each booking gets its own link.
